The Shodo Journal Research Institute focuses especially on contemporary calligraphy pictures, and also pottery and statues from ancient to contemporary times. We gather examples and critique modern works of art from around the world. Our publications include the quarterly journal, a monthly newspaper, an annual almanac, and other books and anthologies. In the Onodera Museum we display significant examples of art and offer tours of the museum to explain them. We promote international tours which exhibit contemporary calligraphy and include demonstrations, lectures, and workshops. |
