Calligraphy Critique

Do you struggle to find your own style of calligraphy?

Are you attempting to find a new style to express your originality?

Do you need confidence in your own ability?

Art critic, Keiji Onodera, will offer comments and critique of your work from his long professional experience.

His comments will address the shape of the word, the use of space, the beauty of line and of ink, the placing of the stamp, and ultimately the construction of the whole. He will point out your particular qualities in detail.

Your work will be considered for inclusion in the Shodo Journal without cost to you, if you agree that this is acceptable.

[Comments from the calligrapher]

When I thought about Russia, my first image was of the ballet, Swan Lake: therefore the title of this work is gThe Leap of the Dance,h I tried to express elegant movement;  however I am not sure that I can express this lively rhythm because I am not a person of elegance.
