The sixth part of the American tour was the lecture series at Colorado State University.
It was held in the Pathology Building, room 101, which can gather more than 150 people. The huge screen can be seen from every seat in the large room. This facility was made available through the help of Professor Beeken; her husband, Tim Beeken, provided the translation of the lecture and demonstration.  About eighty people attended the lecture; some of the students were so eager that they tried to ask questions during the lecture. In the question and answer period the students asked about the difference between the dark ink and pale ink, and about the development from the classical to modern style, showing intelligent interest in the topic.  In the demonstration, Mr. Kuramoto continued in a humorous vein and with clear explanations, leading students to experience the pleasure and emotion of the world of calligraphy.

After the lecture, many students got in line to have Mr. Kuramoto sign their tee shirts with a Chinese character. And they decided to use his word as their club logo.
We offer our deepest thanks to both Mr. and Mrs. Beeken for their generous help in making this lecture a success.
